From a reader...

There was a ton of dog piss in on one of the back elevators last night. It was there when I went down to the garage at 9pm and it was still there when I got home around 11:30.

Thank you irresponsible pet owner! I appreciate an unsanitary and smelly elevator!

  1. And it was there this morning.

I understand that dogs will get excited and pee, no big deal. But Mr. or Ms. dog owner what I don't understand is why you don't come back and clean it up. That is perplexing.

  2. Well I would recommend the leasing office head on over the mcdonalds to pick up some quality grub and set up shop in the camera room to survail that elevator pisser. Afterall, wasn't the purpose of those cameras to hunt down and tear the eyes out of us resident criminals?

  3. If it makes you feel better, urine is sterile...even dog urine.

  4. Maybe the concierge should start checking dogs' IDs, or at least get urine samples.

  5. Has anyone considered the possibility of a second urinator on the grassy nole?

  6. Anyone know what is going on in the front of the building (the barriers and tape to the right of the garage entry).

  7. Speaking of things that annoy me, there was a HUGE party in the pub room on Friday.

I don’t mind that the building's owners make a few bucks off the rental of our facilities, but it was rather loud here on the B level on Friday night at that’s not the first time that it’s been loud recently.

It also puts a cramp in my social life when facilities that my rent subsidizes are unavailable to me on a fairly regular basis, especially on the weekends. It would be one thing if the room didn't have pool tables and TV's and was just a 'meeting room', but as a social hub for tenants, it seems to be rented out fairly regularly.

  8. The work being done in the front of the building looks like waterproofing work. I'm guessing this is finally the fix to what caused the fire alarms a month ago or so. Nothing like expediency.

Also, there was another dog piss sighting saturday night in one of the back elevators. Could it be the same dog owner leaving this? I wonder if these cameras will pay for themselves giving evidence of the dog and the owner.

  9. @ B-level: How big was the party? They all have to end by midnight, and I believe you're not allowed to have more than 50 guests. Any more than that and you're most probably violating fire code. I definitely heard it in the lobby, but I guess that comes with the B-level territory.

I've rented it out before, and I think it's a great resource to have (although expensive). I also understand that it would be a giant pain to live near as well.

@JSM3 - we live literally in one floor up and directly above that work. Which they decided to start very early on a weekday morning.

  10. But is there a noise limit? I mean some of the guests were really loud and the music VERY loud. Just because someone rents out a space doesn't mean they get to dominate the entire first and B-level floors. All those guests coming in and out were extremely rude to tenants.
