The More things Change...

I received this email today. Sorry to say it sounds like it was delivered a year ago.

I moved in 3 weeks ago and its a nightmare. Dog feces left in the hallway and the concierge refused to do anything about it, its like a frat house with people shouting and running up and down the hallways into the early hours EVERY night.
The tenants are awful and the management don't even care. I cannot wait for the lease to finish.

  1. It is the responsibility of the pet owners to clean up after their pets. We will be more than happy to send out another notice or fine pet owners who do not do so. Also, if it is late and concierge on duty does not call the courtesy officer, you do have the right to call the police in the case that other tenants are being disruptive.

  2. For anyone who walks down the north hallway to the back elevators, you will see the feces up and down that hall at least once a week. It's obvious that the culprit lives on that floor and is either a) letting their dog use the hall carpet as its personal toilet, or b) letting their dog poop in their apartment and then throwing it out into the hall.

Either way, the Management office knows this yet since there are no security cameras along that hallway, this disgusting tenant can't be caught/fined/evicted.

If you see someone in the act of letting their pet pee or poop in the building and WALK AWAY, say something. Better yet, get their name and/or their dogs name and let the Office know. I've done it; it pisses off irresponsible dog owners but I don't care.

  3. An interesting side note: I just ran my credit report and found out that the office never even did a credit check on me as they claimed to when I moved in. I can think of a few things wrong with this....

  4. They never claimed to do a credit check on me, just wanted proof of income.

  5. To the person who moved in three weeks ago, I'd be curious to know what floor you live on. I know the first floor is one of the worst. Loud music, dogs barking, loud people talking in their apartments, and it stinks too. I've even smelled cigarette smoke down there. Usually it smells like ass. Glad I only have to walk though it to get to the smelly elevator.

  6. Most of the stories/comments on this blog seem to be centered around Jefferson. Are there any thoughts on Axiom? How does it compare to Jefferson, or to a functional apartment complex? I am considering moving there.

  7. I've tried to bring the Axiom into the dialogue more but alas their contribution has been minimal.
To answer your question; I think the two buildings are very similar. There have been more complaints of elevator problems in the Axiom, but all in all I think the buildings and their staff are synonymous.
    Good luck.

  8. BTW....to the person asking about the Axiom, perhaps this will help.
